About Mia Gribbin
Mia Gribbin is a Meanjin based artist interested in how material and space can communicate personal embodied experiences of place. With a background in drawing and painting, her tertiary explorations into abstraction and the body have led her practice into one that employs a multidisciplinary, experimental approach. She has an overall concern in creating a personal visual language that conveys the regular overlap and exchange existing between human and non-human bodies.
She completed a Bachelor of Fine Art from Queensland College of Art in 2022 and Honours in Visual Art in 2023.
